The entire process of foundry sand processing

Silica sand (quartz sand) is the most widely used and widely used foundry sand. It is a refractory particle with quartz as the main mineral component and a particle size of 0.02mm-3.35mm. According to its mining and processing methods, it is divided into natural silica sand such as washed sand, scrubbing sand, and selected sand, as well as artificial silica sand. The production of foubdry sand cannot be separated from professional powerful intensive mixer for uniform mixing, and the uniformity determines the quality of foundry sand.

1、 The art of raw material pretreatment

The journey of foundry sand begins with the selection of raw materials, just as a baker selects flour with great care. High quality silica sand needs to undergo three-level screening to remove impurities, and the moisture content should be controlled between 3% -5% - too dry can easily raise dust, and too wet can affect breathability. The magnetic separation process can remove metal debris, and the drying temperature is maintained at around 150 ℃, which can sterilize without damaging the sand structure.

2、 Precise control of shape preparation

When mixing resin sand, which adopts popular intensive mixer the curing agent ratio should be precise to 0.8% -1.2%, just like making cocktails requires precise formula. Handmade shaping emphasizes "three tamping and one scraping", while the compaction degree of machine shaping should be maintained at 85-90kPa. Don't forget to create even exhaust holes, this is the key to avoiding porosity in foundry. Efficient mixing relies on a tilting intensive mixer, whose scientific cylinder tilting design can efficiently mix sand.

3、 Green Revolution of Old Sand Recycling

Used sand is not garbage but treasure. Thermal regeneration first crushes the sand block into particles below 0.5mm, and burns off the residual resin in a boiling bed at 650 ℃. The physical regeneration uses a multi-stage friction device to achieve a surface coating detachment rate of over 90% for sand particles. Finally, through wind grading, the regenerated sand achieves over 90% of the performance of new sand.
